Old Steel is a showcase of our love of bikes. One gear, fixed wheel, low
maintance, highly dependable bikes specifically. Bikes that are works of art,
and at the same time, highly utilitarian transportation. Cities are great places
to ride bicycles and Robin Nilssen has captured this visual journey, via the
streets of Sweden. Alongside the backdrop of the gallery Tandem has created
a pop-up-store providing the needed tools to create the perfect track bike.

The Quiet Life - Joy

The Quiet Life is a small project from Los Angeles that is run by Andy Mueller
and Jennifer Pitt. Kevin Fernley joined the team in Oct. 2006.

Here's a little something about Andy:
Andy Mueller was raised in the mid-west on a healthy diet of BMX, skateboarding, music and magazines. At an early age, Andy became addicted to the art of image making and photo taking. In 1993, Andy founded OhioGirl Design, a small design/photo/film studio. In 1997, Andy started "The Quiet Life", as an outlet for purely creative ideas, with a few friends from within OhioGirl.

Originally producing only one or two designs a year, The Quiet Life has grown into a much larger project. The Quiet LIfe now releases 2 seasons a year with worldwide distribution, produces special designs for Upper Playground's 50-24-SF artist line and for 2K by Gingham, and releases limitied edition items that can only be found on this website.

In addition to the Quiet Life, Andy works full time at Girl Skateboards as a member of the infamous "Art Dump."At Girl, Andy's main duty is to art direct Girl's shoe company Lakai Limited Footwear, but he also designs skateboard deck graphics to Girl Skateboards and Chocolate Skateboards, shoots photos for Fourstar, Ruby and the other brands within Girl, and contributes elsewhere when time allows. Andy also continues to do freelance photograph, design, and special projects under the name OhioGirl, and co-runs a small "indie" music label called OhioGold Records.

Here's the new UCI regulation conforming machine. A massive 67x13 gear and long top tube to aid in getting a low stretched out aerodynamic position. He's been using this bike in training sessions, looks like on the road, for 2 to 2 1/2 hours! I can only guess that there's no hills! More info check out Bike Radar

Hutch BMX returns

Posted on site back on December 27th."To everyone that hasn't already heard, Hutch is about to make a return. The brand name has been purchased and new parts and frames
are in the works.".....a month ago I know but these guys were the bomb back in the day. How as a kid I wanted a Hutch. Now I'm alot bigger and older I'm hoping they do a reissue of this beauty.
