Juxtapoz - The African Art Issue

We have raised the stakes. We decided to hop on a plane to Africa, do some investigative work, hire the world's foremost authority on contemporary African art, and publish the November issue dedicated to African art. So where are the artists from? Amongst others, Cameroon, South Africa, Kenya, Egypt, Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Mozambique, Togo, and Ghana. The artists featured, including newsstand cover artist, Jane Alexander, and subscriber cover artist, Wangechi Mutu, are Mikhael Subotzky, Ghada Amer, Faith 47, Cheri Cherin, Pascale Tayou, Youssef Nabil, plus a critical essay on contemporary African art by philosopher and curator, Simon Njami.

Plus multiple profiles, showstoppers, and insiders, this is like our Fall coffee table book. We hope you enjoy.
